APPOINTMENT

Required for exploration-only operations without an SSE, subject to the statutory exception. Eligibility includes the applicable law examination, approved risk training and two years in mining or exploration.

A qualification, official exam pass and written mine appointment are separate things. Confirm your appointed place, functions and alternate arrangements.

- Track hazards, overdue actions and field-team handovers.

WHEN AN INCIDENT OCCURS
Work through the site emergency plan.
Coordinate within the exploration emergency plan and promptly engage the mine operator and relevant responders.
